I love the aquilegias Smeeinnit, can you give us some names please?  Most of my aquilegias are vulgaris - just plain purple, mauve and pink, but I am always looking for more interesting colours and these are beautiful.

    Hi Guernsey

I think the variety is "Swan" mixed, I'm not good at remembering the varieties, still learning :)

Just discovered this thread. We've got a tiny paved garden with precious little planting spaces so most of our roses are in pots. Here's the first flower...

I'll have to get some more photos when the sun's next out!.

imageimageimageimageimageimageimagePapi Jo, I can't name or number my photos as this site won't let me. Whatever I do the photos are always above all the script and in reverse order to the order I post them.

We have been in England for over two weeks and the garden had grown a lot by the time we got back.

BL, I do not see any problem numbering photos. Here is a short example with your first 3 pics.

Thanks Smeeinnit, they really caught my eye as I am trying to build up a collection of aquilegias. Beautiful flowers Busy L especially the rose and clematis.

image How did you do that Papi Jo? Your laptop? iPad? must work differently from mine. Mine just won't let me do it.

  • Busy, what's the name of that lovely pink clematis please? Is it Nelly Moser by any chance?

  • I bought a clematis 'multi blue' plug in a 9cm pot last year and grew it on in pots as advised by the helpful people on this forum.

Here it is now. Love it

Busy Lizzie, those roses are gorgeous.  They look so healthy, too.  image  I post photos one at a time, write underneath each one, then post the next, like TGG has done.  Is that not possible on your laptop?  I know these machines are all different...

    TGG, lovely clematis!

My garden's a bit colder than many of yours, and my roses won't be out for a few weeks yet.  Something to look forward to...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
