This is a very fine covering of spiders web inside a compost bin. I might have posted it before. It is a work of art.
I have just had to change my usual browser to Google Chrome because of a Firefox update. Flipping nuisance . I can now see the Icons to allow me to post pictures though.
What an amazing maze of spiders web in your compost bin lamweedy. I have never seen anything so intricate as this web, although I must admit I often walk past without taking too much notice of webs unless they have dew or ice on them. I wonder how long/many spiders work went into this web.
Niether had I seen the like. The empty compost bin lid was slightly sideways. but the main part was covered. I have not touched it since. I must have another look.
I'm intrigued by Iam's web photo, but it doesn't look like any spiderweb I've ever seen!
Took a few pix this morning as there was a little bit of sun glinting
Colour still there on the Spartina and Hackenochloa
The little pot of alpines has a few fungi in there too
and despite the number of frosts we've had here, and the icy sleet, rain and snow, the pelargoniums I left out are still fine. Just proves that if less hardy plants are put in the right place - ie tucked in soemwhere, they can withstand quite a bit!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thought I’d take some pictures this morning as we had quite a welcome frost last night heaviest of about 5 this year.I love the colours in the winter time as they seem more highlighted with the low angles of light.

I cannot get a page with the little icons on to post anything.

@Loana,
"mystery plant" story continued in this discussion: http://www.gardenersworld.com/forum/plants/mystery-plant/1008472.html
@Iamweedy,
I am using the very latest release of Firefox, Firefox Quantum 57.0 and it's working fine for me on this forum.

Note to self to take a closer look in future.
