Nothing much to contribute. The only thing with a bloom on is last years dregs, a chrysanthemum I didn't have the heart to chop down in the late autumn clear up.
I have very little out, mostly pansies and violas. But 1 knautia has a bedraggled flower! It's raining so all is a bit wet. There are some Tete a Tete and a grape hyacinth that son gave me for Christmas, a miserable looking primrose and some viburnam tinus buds. The short Nandina has red leaves and the tall one has red berries. There is a white hellebore out and the darker ones are in bud.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Weather like Pansyface's here, so just a quick dash out. Not looking very good though! a winter jasmine a few primrose (looking moth-eared)a few polyanthus (also looking a bit slugged) only a few florets of viburnum (Dawn) open but masses of buds. sweet box & skimmia (Rubella) also still in bud.
On the brighter side, my indoor cyclamen are looking superb and there are hundreds of bulbs poking their noses out, so plenty to look forward to.
A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.

5 1/2 things flowering here in Wearside, mostly yellow.
virburnum tinus Lisarose
winter jasmine
mahonia either wintersun or charity, forgotten it's name
wallflower, the small flowered wild one
nonea lutea, seems to be ever-flowering
a spoon billed chrysanthemum is the 1/2 because it's not following the rules by flowering at this time
Weather has gloomed in now, I'd best stay cosy inside for the rest of the day
