Hello , seals reminds me , we put our g/h up in the winter and had to put rubber seals on Radiators to soften the rubber , really difficult
So very well done with getting yours up :)

Got the staging up today that came with the gh, I've got another set in my shed to go up at some point, I probably don't need all that staging but it still leaves me a free side.

Did a bit of hoeing, red pimpernel is the weed of the moment but am trying to save all the poppies.

Need to research how to connect the butts, some plastic caps are provided to stop the ends of the gutters but they don't seem to fit.

Thanks Scroggin, I might have some of that sealant in the shed, I'll check if it's still good.

I saw your snow photo on the allotment thread, hard to believe it was only a couple of months ago. I was sick of snow at the time but now it looks quite appealing! I looked back at pictures and less than two months ago I had standing water on the lawn and flowerbeds but now I'm rationing the butt water😁

Hello , g/h temperature got to 39:1 , So cooled it down by putting water on slabs / gravel , also have a bowl of water in there to help with humidity

Quick visit to the lotment today, just to water my dodgy apple cordon and Polka rasps. Watered all the newer planted fruit also.

My new gooseberry is getting sawfly'd, older one is ok. Have fruit on most of the currants, and the Glen Coe rasps and the one Joan J I'm trying to double crop. The 3 bargain Ruby Beauty rasps I got from B&Q are covered in rasps, hope they're nice😋

    Greenhouse is still up, whoop!🤠

Cut down the weeds around the edge of the plot today and cleared a way through the weeds on the path between my plot and the next.

Neither of us use the path but thought I'd make it look slightly more kempt. This is it cleared in case it's unclear😉 I like the chives and buttercups.

Weeded the area where I'm going to dig the last trenches, as a back up in case last winter's lack of flood was a fluke.

At the far end behind the rhubarb where I've laid the weeds to dry out is where I'll lay out the clay I dig out the trenches. I've got plans to move 3 soft fruit bushes eventually and make a couple of flower beds and an outdoor admin area including potting bench, compost bin and weed stewing bin.

The sawflies have gone now, well the caterpillars have and have left a few leaves on. I've given it a watering and will hope for the best.

I forgot I had a greenhouse during hurricane hector and only remembered when I was walking up yesterday so was somewhat worried about what I would find. All was fine, phew😰 Saw a tangled frame getting wrestled with on one of the plots at my old site so was mightily relieved it passed its first test.

Planned the remaining bits of the plot, not that I can do anything with it yet as I've started digging a trench and piling up the topsoil and clay in those spaces. I'm going to move my Little Pax apple cordon over winter if it survives as I'm not sure why it is struggling and want to dig up the ground.

Has anyone ever ever bought cell grown raspberries? I've ordered some that were on offer but wasn't sure if the claims of a better plant were just hype. I would have thought a cell would take more looking after than a bareroot...
