Just watched last weeks the grand tour,it was a bit boring. They took 5 cars, striped them down and took the paint off took them to the carerbiean,to make a coral reef.
Bbc1. 8.00 new. call the midwife series 6. The midwives return from their south African adventure but all is not well at Nonnatus House. Sister Ursula has been running a tight ship and will stay in charge.
Bbc1. 9.00. New Apple Tree Yard.Psychological thriller based on Louise Doughty's novel. It could be good.
Morning folks, spent yesterday laid up with a bad back and couldn't find anything to watch.
I investigated YouTube in the end and found the most wonderful gardening series I've ever seen and simply had to share it with you.
Its called Lost Gardens with Monty Don. The series is about 18 years old which is probably why I hadn't seen it. Anyway, its finding old forgotten lost gardens, eg, Victorian gardens that have disappeared beneath the undergrowth. Then researching about the place, who designed it, what it was like, then the team have five days to basically replace and replant it. Big projects, fascinating stuff!
The nice thing is its not pretending to be instant, they go back and visit four months later to see it in bloom in stead of expecting it to be perfect after one afternoon!
Anyway, loved it so much, I watched all of the episodes! And simply had to share! Check it out if you like the sound of that sort of thing, it doesn't disappoint!
Your not wrong there BusyL! I think its just adjusting to life in an office chair, but its easing now thanks.
It was a great series wasn't it? A bit like Timeteam for gardens thought Monty looked a little fresh faced then realised it was made eighteen years ago!
Just watched call the midwife,as good as ever, hubby managed to stay awake. It's good how they go through the years and things that happen in real life
My OH stayed awake too. Sometimes he won't watch it because of all the screaming mothers and the babies being born, but he thought tonight's episode was good.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Bbc2,9.00pm Horizon: Hair Care Secrets.Examining the relationship between science and business when it comes to hair care products and how science with a commercial slant differs from purely academic research. The programme also lays bare the secrets of the shiny, glossy hair one sees in advertisements and reveals whether it's worth paying for expensive shampoos.

Sorry about your back, Wonky. Good thing you aren't still doing that heavy gardening job. That was a good series, I saw it.
Looking forward to Call the Midwife.

Aym, haven't got time to watch halcyon. Sometimes there's too many programmes that I want to watch.
I'd rather watch a place to call home on the bbc.I don't mind waiting for series 4. It will be a better picture and HD
