I leave him to it. He doesn't really understand team work!

Then when he's out the room I rearrange everything to suit. ;)

Not if you do it outside and let it dry before you bring in the tree Logan.

We now have a Nordman tree sitting outside in a pot (says cultivated in pot but I'll believe that when I see it) and having a good drink.  It was the best shape in that size and only a few euros more than the ones with their feet stuck in logs.   With any luck it will grow but not a drama if it doesn't.

Getting lights out and testing them is OH's job but I do put them away so I know they're not bundled in knots for next year.  OH does candle lighting but I had to buy him a snuffer after I kept finding great gobs of wax on my furniture and walls where he was blowing them out with a bit too much puff.

  • Hi Dove thanks ☺️ wee tin lol? Looks a lot darker in pic than in real, can't really get the lights as it's daylight,  may try getting another at night. When are you putting yours up? ?

  • Oh other tin deccy I think is the wee elf/santas helper ?

  • Ours are going up this coming weekend Clarice image we're thinking about not putting our big tree up as it takes up a lot of room and we will have guests staying for some of the time and there won't be a lot of space to stretch out in armchairs etc, even in this biggish room.

I think we'll go for lots of greenery, lights and berries and a smaller tree.  We've also got some 'candlelit tableaux' - one of a little nativity and another is a woodland scene and they're very pretty, and of course my favourite musical box snowglobe which plays the Twelve Days of Christmas as the snow falls.  It was a lovely pressie from OH quite a while ago now image

Oh, and of course I'll be making a wreath for the front porch and a  centre piece for the table, with greenery and a candle.  image
