Putting up Christmas Decorations and Tree

imageHi everyone. This is only the second year in 12 hubby has been home for Christmas and it's Brilliant as he's usually away on operations BUT god help me lol, the putting up tree/decs may end up in A&E lol. How's your Christmas decs going.....

heres mine as it stands after an hour and half lol.????????????

    Hehe - the annual untangling of the lights normally tests a relationship! 

    I love the 'reveal' moment where you turn off all other lights, squint your eyes and switch on the fairy lights to check they look good where you have hung them. 

    I drive my OH mad by running over to adjust decorations at regular intervals throughout the festive season. 

    My garden and I live in South Wales.

     B3....thank you ,as its getting us nowhere right now, but it's funny non the less.

    Hes looking for Military precision in all aspects, im looking for the "Good side" we will see in the room and sod the back!

    Maybe im just used to doing it myself??

    AuntyRach, maybe im being toooo hard.....(don't think so lol). I do the same...Shall wait and see what expires ha ha....

    OH the "Fun of Christmas lol" and that's before it all starts....????

    It's about the trials etc that goes on within the home and the fallouts before/after and the Funny disputes etc etc doghouse Nd not the final result, although your hallway looks lovely ??

    I put the tree up and the lights, then she-who-must-be-obeyed puts all the decorations on.  I'm then called back to check for any gaps which don't have a decoration hanging in them.  Team work wins for us.

    Division of labour here.  We choose a tree together and then he helps me secure it in the special Xmas tree pot so it gets water and doesn't fall over.   Then he gets to fetch down all the boxes of decs and check the lights are working OK.

    I then string the lights round the tree, check they're balanced and evenly spread and then decorate it with the baubles etc while he puts up outside lights.   Then we put up extra garlands of lights inside and lots of candles.

    This year it will be a small tree cos of the kittens and we may not have any outside lights as there are no outside sockets here so I'll have to find something else for him to do while I do the tree or he'll try to help...........

    Good work Obelixx... Other half isnt used to being here so its a laugh plus struggle, but we will get there.

    Hope your visit to Belgium went well and now you and hubby are chillling....."with kitties" ?
