Thanks aym - I may pop over and see what they have. I often go to barleylands in the spring and summer for most of my plants ther're about 1/3rd of what you'd pay at summerhill
I do need lots of stones to build the waterfall and beach for the w/life pond, but I'll not get much in my car unfortunately

I love going to summerhill, but it's always an expensive trip, but, a couple of yrs ago I was looking for a nice acer - most of which were small and £50+, then I spotted a 6ft specimen with some broken branches for £10!!! Acer Katsura, it's beautiful, the leaves start off with autumnal colours in the spring, then slowly green up then repeat the autumn colours again.
I go the the barleylands farm shop for most of my plants in the spring/summer the savings are huge and the plants are usually very good.
Time to go dog walking before the rain gets worse.. - no manure spreading today
But I can make a start on putting the electrics into my new g.house

You'll be surprised at what they have and the prices. I guess it's overstock from nurseries. They have a garden shop next to the main one and I've seen exactly the same plant and in summerhill for nearly 3x the price. Perennials in 2L pots typically £3-4. I recently bought deep blue and gold pansies 12 for £1.99 (which is typical price for summer bedding too) and they're looking very cheerful in the hanging baskets while the wind is blowing and rain lashing down. Almost time for the 2nd dog walk - no point in wearing me hat!

It'd better be!
Each ton is 18 loads barrowed 200ft down the garden - mind you I'm feeling fitter than I have in ages!

I'll take a pic after I've walked my dog.
Plenty of bungalows around here too - and only 4 mins walk to the high st

That's the bit I've done today.
As to what I'm going to plant there - I've no idea atm.
I should have enough for a 4" layer over all the borders.
96 75L bags done - 12 to go!
