Really beautiful Liri. I'll echo Ppauper's comment about your photos - they're always so well composed. I love that view to the lighthouse - yes, pity about the cable. Progress isn't always everything it's cracked up to be!
I love the beach/lighthouse pic too. Pity you didn't get on any hills. They look very inviting.
Rather sad about the roofs too. Progress again...or not...
I'd love to visit the causeway one day, but the inevitable crowds are what puts me off. We now have a situation in Skye where there are so many tourists, the infrastructure can't cope. The problem is, that tourists tend to visit - take a few photos then go. It's as though they have a list - Cuillins - ticked... They're not benefitting the local areas by spending actual time (and money) there. Just clogging the single track roads and car parks
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thank you Pat, and Fairy - yes, I do love the composition element in photography. My dad was an excellent amateur photographer, mostly in black-&-white, and he taught me what to look for. I have an album of his photos taken during and just after WW2, including a lot taken in Canada, plus that iconic view of Dresden after the bombing, taken from the air. (He was in the RAF.)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Oh scroggin - what a shame. It's such an iconic hill - been on my list for a while, but I need to feel at my fittest for it. I never got round to it when I walked with my ex partner. I love ridges, but I can understand why it can be scary. If you like the area - Meall nan Eun on the other side, with Albannaich, is a grand walk. They're usually done together, and there's a scramble down Albannaich if you do it first, but lots of people do it the other way round so that they go up the scramble instead. They're a decent enough walk done singly too.
The two Mamores I did a couple of weeks ago would probably suit you well. Stob Ban and Mullach nan Coirean. Fabulous walk and you go round the edge of the corries, but no narrow ridges, unlike a lot of the other Mamores. There's a little scrambling, and if you do it by the conventional route, it's a bit more ridge-like, but I did it by SB's north ridge, and the scramble on that is very straightforward and for a very short distance.
It's not narrow anywhere either - more of a plateau on the approach, with plenty of space, even after the scrambly section
It's very clear how good you are Liri. That's a lovely memento to have, even if it's slightly sad one. My aunt married a Canadian in the air force and moved over there - never came back!

I haven't taken long bike rides this summer. The city has been blanketed most days with smoke from forest fires burning in British Columbia. So to take it easy on my lungs, just down to the river to feed birds and home again.
Shame about the air quality, Johnny. My niece lives in Beijing where most people seem to spend their lives behind face masks to filter the pollution...

Hello Joyce, that's the little stream the fish hatchery uses to release fry into the Bow River. It is my first stop when out feeding birds.
Hello Liriodendron, I thought about a mask but health officials suggest not bothering with over the counter face masks. They won't protect you from particles in wild fire smoke. You would need specially fitted respirators to block the particles and the respirators may make it more difficult to breathe. So we just limit our outdoor activity and keep the windows closed in the house.

Interesting photo's everyone.

Smokey skies
Lovely and peaceful along the river bank Johnny. Is that where you go cycling/bird feeding?

Talking of fish, here's a photo I took in Madeira a few years ago. I like abstracts.
You'll either love it or hate it...
Love it Liri
Counted ten but there are probably more.
