  • Hmmmm...?

Evening all image, internet has been down most of the day and electricity on and off due to the heavy rains but it's all quiet for the moment.

Joyce are you in Ayr? Both my sister and aunty have static large caravans at "Craig Tara" and the kids love it...sis loves going up there at times with a good book after a hectic week at work and chilling out. We were there last year for weekend and enjoyed the show that was put on for the kids at Halloween, was great fun, before jumping into town and grabbing necessities from "Boots" to bring back to France...(stuff we can't get here and my "soap and glory moisturizer lol), finishing off with a buffet Chinese in the center......(I'd die for a Chinese right now)!........?????

  • Aye I will do Joyce.....You put me in the mood last night to watch umpteen Stanley Baxter sketches. I  then went on to watch some of the "Big Yin".....jaws were aching by time I went to bed.....????. I haven't been to Oban in years.....used to go with my granny and get a Poke a chips and then a Pokey Hat ice-cream with jelly tots for eyes/mouth....fond memories...??

  • Aym we usually fly....24 hours, near enough if driving.....A grand effort as well if we don't get a direct flight from Bordeaux/Edinburgh then bus then train then taxi.....(these direct flights are only on for a few months of the year)....AND that's the easiest route lol with flying....If not then it's an hour and half drive from here at 0500 to get to airport then a flight to england then most of the time, a 4/5 hour wait and another flight to Edinburgh or Glasgow, half hour to book car then another 40 minutes...(if weather ok) till we arrive at mums....?????.

Shattered by time we get there but so worth it to see everyone. ?????? ??

Thats "not a Knight", that's a skelaton....(addicted to them I'm afraid)! That ones called Alfred....one at back is Albert...(you may have seen in YouTube vids)?...?☠️

  • Yip it sure is a looooong long haul, either way BUT has to be done to see Parents/sons etc and after two days, it's like we never left ? UNTiL we have to do it allll again to come back lol ??

I've done the Bordeaux Edinburgh flight to see my brother in Crieff, but only in summer so it was a direct flight. Good thing my sister and another brother are in East Sussex.

Clarice, do you book the car online in advance? Much quicker to pick up and cheaper.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • Nite Nite Aym...?..

Bit of both Busy::::mostly do online before we go.

  • imageimageimageThe Big fella was found beside rock at end of grass about to be mown...?. start of wee veg plot earlier this year...?. One of 4 snakes/slow worms found when we were moving logs to a different part of garden...???

  • Have had them inside before ??? but no, they tend to live the quiet life and be left alone lol...they don't bother me...??
