Andy and Jamie. . . . well deserved rankings.

Andy and Djokovic were true sportsmen when they had their presentation.

It is fantastic.  I have to admit I couldn't watch it.  I was channel hopping all the time because it seemed he was playing well when I wasn't watching but started to drop points when I watched.  Ridiculous I know, but the result is what matters.

Somebody on radio this morning said "Great win for Britain - he'll be Scottish again when he loses".  It was said probably only half jokingly.  They also have a 'competition' running to see if people can work out whether Andy had won or lost matches based on how he spoke in the press conferences.  That's a tough oneimage

Incredibly, Djokovic has been quoted as saying he knew he had no realistic chance of beating Murray. For a top player to say that speaks volumes for his current mental state.  Something is clearly wrong somewhere in his life.

There have been rumours over the past several months about problems outside of tennis.  Nothing detailed, but the change in both his game and attitude have been very noticeable. He used to be one of the most restrained players on court, but now everything seems to get under his skin.

Hopefully whatever is causing his problems can be resolved quickly because he does seem like a genuinely decent guy.
