That way the exisiting neighbours continue to be friendly to each other; each landowner is in control of 'their bit' and the pathway can be closed if they so choose - then if new neighbours moved in who were not so likeable the path could be closed.

Could it be changed so that it's a Permissive Path rather than a Right of Way
