Hey Verdun, I read that porridge kills slugs. I am aware of the life cycle issues with pesticides, for hedgehogs and the like and read that porridge has an expanding effect once they have eaten it and it kills them. I have looked with a torch and found nothing. Again the pots didn't have anything under them. When I emptied the old compost out I did find a dead slug and some clear eggs so I think this may be the issue. I have potted both so hopefully that will clear the issue and I will look at the copper tape.
