I took one look and knew the suns gone astray

One look and knew today would be a dull day

Cleveland Hills have vanished a sea mist covers the bay

Cool and damp cannot see this going away

Not a day to make hay as they say, here in Stockton.

Apologies to the Song writers, had to stop in mid verse as my Porridge was done.

    It's been a lovely sunny day, 17°.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
  • After the gloom of the fog for the past few days, we had glorious sunshine this afternoon - wow what a difference! 14 degrees but far warmer in the sunshine and no wind.

Nice mild quiet day - it seems to have been windy for a month. So I was out making some inroads into giving the borders their spring tidy up. You know how it is, you're head down, working your way along. An hour later I stood up to take the bucket of weeds and prunings to the compost, looked behind me and the valley had disappeared into the mist image.

Hoping its not too damp in the morning - the grass is going to have to be cut, can't put it off any longer.

There's nothing left for me, Of sunny days that used to be, they are a memory among my weather reports. The skies that once were blue have now a very strange hue I think what I better do is change out of my shorts.

    Stockton dull and dour.

    Frank.

  • It's our turn to have the sunshine Palaisglide - you have been keeping it for far too long.  We had 4 days of fog and no sun but now that is a distant memory and the shorts are out for the foreseeable future - well today at least - let's hope the sun stays awhile.

Stockton the sun is back, Easterly it is bright over the coast, Westerly dour looking over the Dales, which will win I ask?

I was thinking of going to Guernsey they tell me there are Donkey's there,

But I am told the planes cannot land so  that rules out going by air,

A holiday in Guernsey I am sure would be very nice,

Although us Vikings from the frozen North take our own snow and ice.

MANKINI what the H* I mean on earth is that???

    Frank.
