very hard frost here in Cheshire but the temperatures quickly rose as clouds rolled in. Not a bad day though and I enjoyed a trip to our local garden centre.
No rain here for days and then it was just 1.8mm. None forecast. Going into 17 month of drought here.
10C today and sunny and calm. Set to get to 17C in a few days' time. Strange weather but farmer Luc would rather it were dry now than damp as his young calves can get the flu and that keeps him up at night tending to them. All very well but we have a huge hole to fill with water now and I can't get any new trees, shrubs, roses, clems etc planted till we've had a thorough soaking.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Ha! I spoke too soon about frost.. We had a very fine ground frost overnight - the temp. went down to just 6 last night, after a sunny afternoon yesterday..
Today has been lovely, sunny for part, dry and calm. Good gardening day again. I wonder if we will have another frost tonight.
I am surprised that you do get a frost at all GD surrounded by sea as you are. My OH was brought up on Anglesey and he doesn't remember ever having a frost.
GD, my inbox tells me that you have sent me a message but I'm afraid I can't access it for some reason.
Calm day here in the north west, not too cold and nice and dry. We haven't had rain for a while, unusual for this part of the country. I expect I speak too soon.
