We are moving from very cold to unreasonably cold weather tonight.
I've had to catch some of the barn cats, as well as the regular hearth cats, and keep them indoors with the risk of snow. There is a minor cat-flu going around too, so they are all in separate rooms - dear oh dear - according to who has and who hasn't had it, and also according to who might eat the others if they are put in with anyone else - (that would be Charlie, don't know where he came from but he looks a lot like this only he is a deceptively exotic creamy-pink with stripes and is twice the size that any cat should be).
The 14th, that is Twinkle-toes' brother, has yet to be captured. He will have to go under the stairs - or in the airing cupboard if he doesn't get on with Arthur.
And that is all before I can sort out where the plants are to go that need to come in -
Cold here in Cheshire but at least it is dry. I got soaking wet with my OH doing the shopping Yesterday. We are going up to Glasgow for two days on the train from Crewe next week. Hoping to visit a museum and Art gallery. Anyone know the best place to go in Glasgow?
Never been to Glasgow a lady from our village has just gone there this week to have a look round , sounds intresting , have been to Edinburgh, will get three one day
Dihan , best of luck with cats , sounds like you have your hands full , funny how some cats get on better with some more the others , just like humans
thank you Joyce for the info, we shall certainly look those places up. I think we are staying in that area so the first job is to get a map! My friends booked it up so haven't got all the details. They are coming up from Cornwall on the train so it will be quite s journey for them. I hope they remember their woolies as I imagine the temperature may be a little cooler up there in Scotland!
Beautiful sunshine here in Newark, slightly breezy and cool in the breeze but perfect for the leaf-raking so made the most of this morning to get the exercise necessary to off-set the formal dinner tonight!!
Forgot to mention the glass houses in the Botanic Gardens which are not far from the Kelvingrove Art Gallery. There is good public transport along that route.
That sounds wonderful as botanical gardens are a particular interest of mine. Glasgow sounds like a great city to visit. I think we will need all of our two days to fit everything in. Thanks again Joyce.

Daisy - Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum near Glasgow university.
The Transport Museum is not far from there. Both are in the West end.
The Peoples' Palace is across in the East end.
Glasgow Cathedral is worth a visit and the oldest house in Glasgow is nearby.
If there is a tour of the City Chambers available, it is worth doing to see all the marble.
Cold with blue sky's - Lincoln

Snow, sleet, rain and slippy on foot
