Rads been on for a few a couple of weeks image

Weather was lovely here in North Dorset though hope to get some rain soon as it has not rained for weeks and even established shrubs are struggling and all my barrels are running towards empty. I also cannot plant any bulbs as the ground is rock solid. It is more like August here rather than October.

"A Gardener needs some rain and some sun, and some sun,

When there's planting hoeing cutting to be done, to be done,

When the show prizes for best Marrow to be won, to be won

And you've grown the very best Chrysanthemum, Chrysanthemum.

A gardeners job is never ever done, ever done oo ah,

A gardeners job is never ever done, ever done, oo ah".

"This rain has seemed to go on for ever, for ever,

And definitely total absence of the sun, the sun,

When you wellies slide about in all the slime, all the slime

Then its maybe time to seek a better clime, a better clime.

The clouds in Stockton are touching the roof tops, all the lights are on. More apologies to Gilbert and Sullivan, A Policeman's lot is not a happy one, the oo ah on the end is so Verdun will understand.

Dry and brightening up in SW Scotland. Going out to hang up the washing.

Dull  and damp here with smirrie rain. Not a day for doing much. May rouse myself to do some shopping.

A dull morning but sun and blue sky in afternoon. Warmer too,

    SW Scotland
  • Like you Verdun, some rain today, not a lot though but more to come tomorrow apparently.

Yucca - I like a nice yucca, they look so majestic when in flower. Ours is still tiny and no where near large enough to flower for a few years yet.

  • We also have an agave cactus/succulent - yes they are dangerous but so is crossing the road, however I agree that they do hurt if you take hold of them without protection.image
