It's a good time to look in B&Q for Cannas - they often have them for a few quid at this time of year (September really) as they're getting rid of everything that's not completely hardy and is surplus....

A few years ago, they sent me a seek and destroy letter, shortly after they sent me some rhizomes, worried that some of their stock had virus.They then replaced them, and sent me extra free.
I planted the ?virus stock, keeping it separate from other Cannas, and they were fine.
