I posted a post a few weeks ago about the same thing, taking cuttings from hydrangeas and I was told to put it in a jar of water! I can't remember who advised me, it wasn't Verdun or Nutcutlet. I followed as instructed and put it in a jar of 1cm of water and was told in a few weeks roots would appear. No roots yet.....I want to try the directly into soil method as you will do. I also have a very old pot of my mum's rooting powder. I have used it and it hasn't worked on anything so after reading this I will chuck it away now, thank
