Also tidied up the front gravel garden, planted buddlea, lavender and jasmine in the ground and added a couple of pots of pansy panolas, again the fences at the front need painting as well as the ones in the back garden

A nice tidy job there T-G ?.  The fences don't look that bad in my opinion, they've weathered well to a nice silver grey that complements the stone in front of it. Lavender always looks good in a gravel garden, you could add more Mediterranean type herbs like Rosemary and Thyme. I got some nice sized pots of herbs from the supermarket last year, dead cheap £2 each or 3 for £5.

  • Just catching up on your progres! Looks awesome and so exciting to be getting crops in the ground!  Love the front section with the pebble! ?

Great tip about the growing of peas etc up netting Kitty! Totally going to do that this year! ?

  • I don't really mind the silver grey fence colour but a couple of the panels need replacing and will never match so I'm going to paint the lot in the 'willow' colour from Wilkinson after the repairs.

and yes I was going to add some rosemary as well as more lavender and maybe a purple hebe further down, it's a work in progress lol

It's a big improvement from the before pics. I think the fence will look lovely painted willow, but I'm biased because it's my favourite colour!
