Yes, you are right Judojub, the orange flowered plant is a crocosmia montbretia which I have growing in a submerged pot to try to prevent it from taking over my flower bed. The tall grass in the forefront was my naming problem but I now have a name for it - Calamagrostis Brachytricha - thanks to the people who pointed me in the right direction.
