Some big waves too down your way so they say Verdun - let's hope the holidaymakers are sensible and keep away from the sea fronts and harbour walls image

I wish they'd just keep away from the West Country altogether.

We had our share last week. Everything I have was fine apart from the buddleia, which is fine since I repaired it. Most of my planting is quite robust - necessary here anyway. Frothy or  lanky perennials are few and far between, and anything like that is well supported by other planting. Saves a lot of heartache image

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

You think you've got problems. Try living in London. The only time we can use it is in February or sometimes November

Can't they just send the money, and we'll agree to share it out evenly?image

We gave up with our holiday let and let local tenants have it full time.

I saw a sticker on a car on Sunday :

" A home is for life, not just for August"

The overwhelming majority are fine( I was just teasing ), it's just the:

" do you realise it's taken me 10 hours to drive here from Chicwick" and the

" Oh the beaches are busier than we hoped they'd be" types who annoy me.

I'm sure they're genuinely surprised that other folk want to holiday here too, and not just them.

    Devon.
