Dying Viburnum

this Viburnum tinus as suddenley started to die back on the one side, it's been in this site for several years nothing as changed so don't think it's wind burn.....any ideas. image

    Have you had a look to see if there's damage to the bark on that branch?

    Looking at the photo the top left looks a bit yellow as well, is it?

    As it was slamming down with rain I didn't get up close, but I've noticed the next door neighbor Cut back to the boundarie, from what I could see they where old cuts, all I know this as come on over the last couple of weeks, thanks for your help.

    Ok Verdun, next time i call over my sons house I'll look for signs of canker or damage to the branch.

    Mine is exactly the same!  I've been searching for how to deal with the problem for around 4 years now and tried all sorts.  Last spring I tried a couple of doses of diluted urine to add nitrogen and it seemed to have an effect but the problem has now returned so I will try that again and cross my fingers!  We have had very strong winds in the past couple of months and I had suspected that has been the cause this time.

    Our plant has done the same in a section towards the back of the plant.
    Nothing to indicate why.
    The rest of the plant is great.
