You won't need to search my car for secateurs or anything like that. Any damp newspaper and bags you find are what I normally carry for damp newspaper emergencies.
It's a lesson learnt anyway. Also, I must confess that I was lazy about preparing the ground and watering so they may have been ok if I wasn't a neglectful gardener.
I tend to move plants to the last chance saloon as in ' you can live there and be grateful or your next move will be the compost heap ' I have made an autumn reservation for a couple of shrubs.

Well ,Gentle Reader, I moved the stip ten and they died.
Not a tragedy as they were in a totally unsuitable position.
Will divide up a survivor and plant them somewhere more suitable next year.
Wrong time to move them.
