Thanks, I do pay a little for the 'net' ending but not much. I'm afraid I can't pm you every time I post, but I post a picture every Wednesday and a longer post every Friday or Saturday. It should be easy to subscribe though by clicking on the button on the side bar and entering your email address. Then the system with automatically let you know by email when I post. Good luck with the gardening and hope you enjoy the blog.
Great blog, I love that shared garden DWD! Did you see the shared front gardens in Big Dreams, Small Spaces? It wasn't quite the same as they shared the whole front, but they're both really lovely.
On the other point, before a family member got a confirmed diagnosis of Crohn's, they thought it might be coeliac disease, colitis, bowel cancer, B12 deficiency or IBS. They also needed to rule out intolerances and other allergies. Diagnosis took ages as symptoms vary from person to person and need proper diagnosis and tests, as dwd said. I don't wish to alarm, but Crohn's (I don't know much about the others) can be very serious, so if you are concerned, best to get it checked out sooner rather than later.
Thanks SparklesJD. Yes I saw the episode, in fact it was based in Hitchin just down the road from me. It's a great way to garden - sharing gardening experiences and produce is definitely more fun than gardening alone imo.
Hi Aym, no, he sees a dietician occasionally, (the advice changes as they do more research), but he hasn't had to cut out dairy so far. He can't eat nuts, tomato and a few other things I think. He hasn't been ill for a while though, but if symptoms reoccur, he might consider anything rather than having more surgery.
As someone who has had an endoscopy to diagnose coeliac disease, I went on the gluten free diet and it has revolutionised my life. I have so much more energy than ever before and a much better quality of life. It's definitely worth getting a diagnosis if possible. Good luck to your son.
I've not cracked gluten free bread yet (it was on the new years resolution list!), but do like Genius bread. There will be a gf scone recipe on the blog from tomorrow and the gluten free cookbook by Whinney, Lawrie and Hunter is the best recipe book we have and was our guide when we started gf cooking.
All the recipes in my blog are, and will continue to be, gluten free.

That's been the best bit for me - sharing people's joys and frustrations in their gardens, even on here or FB.
You're not too far from me then, I'm in north London.
It's been a good season round here - lots of rain and sun! ☺
