Clarington - I'm sure that why I'm growing so many chillies? - the growing is at least as much fun as the eating!

Green Magpie - I like that way of growing lemongrass. I might try it next year - thanks. Not sure about coriander. It bolts too easily for me. That's why I used Vietnamese coriander in my blog post, which seems easier to get a crop from throughout the summer.

Where do you get the seeds for Vietnamese coriander?

Chillies seem to work for me in alternate years - which is just as well, as I still have a bag of them in the freezer from the sunner before last!

I bought a plant from a herb supplier at Hampton Court Flower Show.

Thanks aym280. The Kaffir limes thrive on my kitchen windowsill which is north facing and are such an easy house plant. They're evergreen, so leaves are always available for curries :-)

  • Hi aym280. I bought the plant from Suttons Seeds. They came with several in a pot so I divided them into two and might need to divide them again soon.

I use brown rice generally as a way to get extra fibre. I have coeliac disease so I try to get extra fibre wherever possible as my bread doesn't contain much. :)

  • No probs. Hope you enjoy the plants if you get some. Main symptoms of coeliac disease are stomach pains/bloating and fatigue I think, but there can be many more. Best thing to do if you are concerned is to see a doctor and they can do a blood test if they think it might be coeliac disease. Best wishes :-)

Aym; your son might want to discuss with a doctor the possibility of IBS (irritable bowl syndrome).
