Posy:  Three or four hundred a day! image.  What do you do with them all?

I think that might be a world record.

  • Posy says:

Yes, but do you have enough birds to get through three or four hundred slugs a day because I don't . I turned over a paving stone the other day and found a toad enjoying the damp space. He was sharing it with eight slugs, two of which were lying against him. Nobody looked hungry or nervous.

Hahaha Posy that made me laugh. Slugs cosying up with mr toad. Typical!

I like the sound of the slug salt bath device and would also like to see a picture please gardeningfantic image

  • Can't picture where you mean to place the salt!??

I wish, Kitty. That's just what I pick off my plants in an hour or so on a damp summer night. I'm afraid they go into a strong salt solution. This year I have been gathering them in handfuls, not one at a time!

I have areas of my garden which are a favourite hangout of slugs&snails, I don't count them but I reckon I've never collected more than 50 at a time in my "salty bucket".

I admire your persistence Posy, I couldn't do it every day.
