The petition has worked then. What's the next one on the agenda?

B3: How about asking Derren Brown to use his hypnotic powers to lure all the slugs and snails into the sea?

We would have to check on the ecological impact, but it sounds good to meimage

In Suffolk we have had a lot more rain than usual. Some of it came in torrential downpours which gave the garden a bit of a bashing but I would much prefer to have a bit too much rain than too little.

We are usually at near drought status by this time of year with hard cracked soil (clay), yellowing grass and flagging borders. Usually need to spend several hours a week keeping things watered if I want any sort of veg harvest and flowers after mid July.

This year the garden has been green and lush and I've hardly needed to water the veg.

    No complaints from me.

Gonna be El Scorchio from Monday though.... image

It has rained here, incessantly, for weeks. Today the sun came out, the temperature rocketed to 17° and I went out and chopped down trees and up logs. image There's a very pleasant breeze and it's been flippin' marvellous! image

Mother had her cardigan off! image Wielding those newly purchased loppers certainly warmed her up!

...and in case you think I'm kidding...I'm not! She's spark out in the chair right now! image Maybe I'll have that much energy when I'm 80. image
