I know what you mean, WE, we have lots around here and the repetition is a bit irritating after a while!

    Same here!
Mr Chaffinch isn’t much better 😆

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

  • The herring gulls with their squawking, especially when there is a group of them and they are attacking the food on the bird table, now that really gets my goat!

Great Tits to me sound like a squeaky wheel on a bike.😄 The best song at the moment is the little Wren, big sound for such a small bird.

Blackbird starts singing at 4.00am and I leave my bedroom window open to listen to him for 30 minutes before going back to sleep....smiling
Saw my first Bee Fly yesterday at Lottie
Had a female Blackbird come within 6 feet of mee and we stared at each other for almost a minute. I think she thought she was a Robin

Saw a 2 year old child on a wooden push along bike ...wait for it......WITHOUT A FULL CRASH HELMET...Hurrah

Our first scops owls are arriving, pairs call a single note to each other constantly throughout the evening, sounds like a tree frog. I love the sound, a lovely harbinger of Spring, but by the end of the summer I could murder them  :#

Not a fun day to be a bird. I'm keeping them well supplied with live mealworms though.

If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Little wagtail does look a sorry bundle, I hope he/she is not poorly WE, good on you with the mealworms, they only get dried ones here.
No snow thank goodness, but wet and windy.

We have a pair of blackbirds in a pyracantha with babies. They are very busy.

And had a bee fly visit too the other day, I wonder what it must be like to have your tongue hanging out all the time.

For fun sounds in the night, we have what my OH calls Horny owls....

Hopefully it's just got a full belly. It's happily hopping around the garden most of the time. I've got a pet lizard so I've generally got live food on hand when the weather takes a dive.
