Which cosmos is this if it is?
I saw this beautiful flower in a wildlife garden. I think it's a cosmos, but I'm not entirely sure. It was just on its own, and it was really tall. Deep maroon colour. I would like to identify which variety it is, and get one/some! I looked online for pictures of cosmos, and I found one called Rubenza. Its description said that it was a short one, this was tall.
Any ideas? Photos are not very good sorry and don't do justice to the flower's beauty!

Does it smell of chocolate?
Cosmos "dazzler" grows to 4 ft.
I think the leaves are too feathery for chocolate cosmos. They tend to be more like dahlia leaves and the flowers have a dark centre.
Oh perhaps it's dazzler..thing is, it wasn't pink or cerise, it was like deep maroon or burgundy.
B3 I didn't smell it. Does the chocolate one have a yellow centre though?

Sorry, wakeshine, I don't know
Haha Pansyface. Well we could do that too lol.
Looks like Rubenza to me - have grown it from seed for the first time here, and it is a lovely deep maroon colour - really pleased with it
I have grown a mix of Rubenza and the yellow cosmos for the first time this year. They are in bud. If the Rubenza open to this colour I will be well chuffed!
