He's looking much fitter and very settled. Our Lab comes when called - eventually sometimes if he's on a scent but usually good - but he can't do heel very well and often either pulls like a train or pushes his nose up the backs of our knees. Uncomfortable either way.
Here they are today, just visible in the leafy, unpaved lanes between fields

"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
LeadFarmer Alfie looks so much better. His now glossy coat really shows how well he is being cared for now.
My neighbour now has a young black labrador who is a rescue dog. He has lost one iof his back legs and is very nervous. I just wonder what happened to the poor boy before he ended up in the dogs home. His "dad" has always gone for rescue dogs.
We've taken in another lab today, this one was going to be disposed of by its owner if it wasn't claimed by 2pm today. Dexter had become unwanted having chewed the kitchen floor whilst being left alone all day every day. The wife went out and got him just in time. He will be moving on to a different foster home soon until a new home is found for him.
Dexter is the one on the right, alongside Alfie. He's just a few months old but is very friendly..
