    Is it good for wildlife?

I'm looking at the rose that I planted in next doors old orchard. Its 40 ft up a cherry tree, but it could do with company.

The hawthorn on the boundary has a clematis montana, a rosa filipesx? and a jasmine up it. You can't actually see much of the hawthorn.

I do have an orange peel clematis (Bill Mackenzie?) through a buddleja x weyerana. I chop both down in spring, and up they come.

Our Bill Mackenzie flowers beautifully at the top of a 20 feet tall tree. Survived the top 10 foot of the tree snapping under the weight of it.

And My Angel will cover 2 acres in a couple of years!

    Sounds like mine Berghill.

    I'm getting frightened now

  • I reckon that even My Angel would not take over your 2 acres, a big garden needs some big plants, just PM me your address again, please, I will send you some cutting material wrapped in wet kitchen roll, it will soon strike.

A friend of mine in the trade said, I quote " My Angel is definitely not for people who live in Barratt Homes "

    Now I didn't say that.

  • Fidgetbones, lots of bees around the plant here, some of last years seedheads are still on the plant, a couple of stems I missed when pruning, the blue tits took some into the nest boxes.

Let me know if you want to try some.

    It certainly makes a statement.

    I heard you Richard. image

No Barrett home, a wooden shack in a wilderness of plants and wildlife.

    I'll PM you, thanks

Stunning picture, I have seeds and cutting material, seeds may not come true, you may get a plant like my Black Tibet. Fingers crossed

I took some hard wood cuttings. I hope they root. Its better than standard Rosa filipes, it flowers a week later and has more flowers to the cluster, and a pink blush to the back of the flower.
