Great work ladies. 👏👏. I’ll be heavily into knitting before long since our weather is becoming cold. Had some minus mornings this past week. I knit fingerless gloves and sell them in town at a friend’s coffee shop. She has asked me to get some more done soon. 😃
More lovely things today. Loving that funky wool bet you knees are warm when you are knitting with it. Thanks for the comments on the embroidery, no specific patterns, just Pinterest which can be very dangerous with all the lovely ideas out there!
Marne la vallée, basically just outside Paris 🇫🇷, but definitely Scottish at heart.
I found this spiral metal thing I believe to be a plant support discarded in the rear garden of this property when we bought it. I liked it and created this planter with an automotive oil drip pan and metal plant stand I already owned. My Dianthus barbatus from last season came through the 2ºF snow/ice storm that hit Texas in February with flying colors. Adding the glass bell to my creation just seemed the thing to do. It perks up a bare fence corner I have yet to decide how to fill in with flowers/shrubs. It was total shade in this corner until we removed an overhanging 23' Ligustrum lucidum that was dropping a mess of leaves and berries every season that kept germinating by the millions on the ground. I'm not fond of Ligustrums for the most part. Now this corner gets full morning sun until about 1pm. Will have to give considerable lthought to how I want to fill this sunny garden spot. Photo was taken today and it is very overcast.
That's clever recycling @PeggyTX. I have a spiral obelisk thingy a bit bigger than that and 3 more in a larger size but they have very short legs for sticking in the ground so are not really any good as plant supports.
They are currently keeping chooks off 2 clematis I have just planted to decorate the utilitarian mesh fence round the potager and the other 2 are stopping the chooks sneaking down the side of the garlic netting tunnel to get to the PSB but maybe now I can find something more interesting to do with them once those needs are over.

Beautiful paintings @Valley Gardener.
