  • I do a lot for friends, the pebbles are popular with Angels painted on,to go on graves or memorials, with the persons name on.The main problem is finding enough nice pebbles. If all else fails I paint sayings on Welsh stone (out of my wall)😁  But yes,I get enough orders to keep me busy. I charge more for pet portraits as they need lots of concentration, and have to be right.

I really love the daffodil design @Valley Gardener 💛
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • Thanks for that heads up @Fire why didnt I think of that? Better than sneaking them off the beach, and the river ones are still black with coal dust after all these years.

  • Apologies if someone has posted about this already (it's a long thread!) but does anyone have experience in upcycling things like plastic boxes for use in the garden? I'm considering various options for making a mini pond, one of which is using a water feature reservoir. I don't want to just leave it as a black plastic container as the general theme is vintage and plastic is definitely not vintage! I'm thinking along the lines of decoupage but any other craft suggestions are welcome!

If it's to be the reservoir it will surely be hidden?

Hole in the ground to hold it then covered with a metal grid and stones?

No, the reservoir would be a raised pond on gravel. I'm also considering using a planter but that has other challenges.

  • @Obelixx I do like this style of tile so it could be interesting to create something similar.
