Right she's loves the Hagley hybrid so we are going to give that a try. I planted a perle d'azur last summer with the idea of training it through a winter flowering shrub. I thought I'd given it due care and attention but obviously not as it promptly died on me! So can I have some tips please as I'm going to try again as well.

My Clematis Grandiflora is doing great on a north facing trellis & i'm in Sunny Scotland, Flowers profusely in June so may need a companion plant for all year round interest...

Oh my. I have that ready to go in Percy and I thought it would meander gently along the fence. Lucky I have and enormous fence. It might even make it to the gate!!!!

It will grow as far as it has something to cling on to, you could cover the empire state building with it ^_^

This is good news. I'll aim for 75 feet and see how we go. image Now where'll I put the other two? image

They're spectacular when in flower ppauper. The clue's in the title - 'grandiflora' ...image

Girl across the road from me has one covering her garage. I can see it from my front windows. It's beautiful just now.

I planted some on  the long front boundary fence of my last house. I might take a drive out there and see if they've grown a bit - unless the rabbits have got to them. They tried their hardest at the time. Chicken wire cages round 'em!

It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
