Yes, I noticed that too when I looked at the Touchwood site a few days ago Mother Hen, I was disappointed to read that the owner was no longer able to send out seeds due to the mildew problems, but then remembered the lovely variety I had my eye on at the local park - not quite ready to seed yet though.....
I really don't mind the shape. I love the serendipity. I was thinking along the lines of emptying a packet of seeds about the place and see what happens.
I carefully brought back 3 tiny Aq plants last year from my friends' garden in eastern France. They have several lovely specimens and my 3 plants have grown into very healthy, tall clumps in the fairly recently made-over garden. I was waiting with baited breath to see what colour would emerge and one just started to flower a couple of days before I left for my annual France trip on 18.5. I was disappointed to see that the flowers seemed little more than a dirty green! Any ideas? Would these be true flowers or a kind of pre- cursor?! Still in France so can't check for any further developments until 9.6.
What a disappointment for you Lyn, after carefully bringing the plants back to your garden, waiting and then the outcome was not what you expected at all - keep us up to speed with the rest of the flowers when you return home.
Anyone had experience of dull, greeny beige flowers (re above post.) My friend's display is beautiful, with purple/white doubles, dark pink and some very pretty pale yellow/pink ones. Maybe they don't like England! : (

Has a mattress strapped to her back in case she meets someone she knows?
B3, what sort of shape do you want?
Singles, doubles, pom poms, Barlow shape, long spurred, short spurred, stellata?
Then choose what colour you want. I'll see what I can do. Oh I have some golden leaved varieties too.

Love Aquilegias I wonder of there is any other plant which is so easily grown, self seeds and comes in so many colours? I can't think of any ...
