Please Recommend a Liquid Slug Killer
I have a big problem with slugs but am nervous about throwing slug pellets around and would like to opt for a liquid application instead. I've Googled this and the results were inconclusive with a number of likely looking products being out of stock. Thanks.

When I saw I had a response my spirits rose only to be dashed when I read the contents thereof....
Put me in mind of that scene in Reginald Perrin-
Doc:
I say, your ticker's racing like the clappers. Not surprising, really. (Doc sits down). Do you find you can't finish the crossword like you used to, nasty taste in the mouth in the mornings, can't stop thinking about sex, can't start doing anything about sex, wake up with a sweat in the mornings, keep falling asleep during 'Play For Today'?
Reggie:
That's extraordinary, Doc! That's exactly how I've been feeling.
Doc:
So have I. I wonder what it is?

Reggie Perrin - sheer genius! Whatever happened to Sunshine Deserts?
I've been wary of using slug pellets thanks to my very inquisitive dog.
So I switched to Slug Clear last year. It's the same stuff as slug pellets but in liquid form. As there's nothing to see, the dog is not interested. And most importantly - it works.
Quite expensive in garden centres, but I got 2x250ml bottles from amazon for about £12

I put a couple of inches of a dark ale in each of three yoghurt pots and sunk them in the veg patch yesterday between the freshly planted squash plants ..... this morning there were seven large slugs and several smaller ones drowned in the beer and three perfectly intact squash plants. Result!!!
Well, beer's a liquid isn't it?????
And it won't do the dog any harm if he does get it

See my post of yesterday - my dog has cleared out all ten of my slug pubs! Now he knows about them, there's no point me using them any more as he'll just seek them out when he smells the beer and get wasted...
Oh geum.

I was going to suggest beer; maybe you can just put it out at night?
I didn't get where I am today giving slugs beer....
However, Slug Clear sounds "super!" and "great!" I'll give it a try. Thanks, Pete8....
How about using cheap Tesco beer in a yoghurt pot as suggested or salt around the plants. Salt works really well! They both work a treat and with the beer the slugs die happy
I'm not a "beer and salt" person, emma lou....
Sadly, Slug Clear only appears to be available in pellet form as it appears to be out of stock and unavailable everywhere as a liquid. If anyone knows of a source for the liquid stuff I would be grateful to know it, thanks.
In the meantime, I've found this "just add water" product which could be Good Newsville, Arizona-
