here's my tree peony, when i bought it last year it had 3 buds, this year it only has one, i planted the crown level with the soil and i can't remember it's name but it's white and comes back each year, i was looking forward to lots of flowers on it this year.

how strange i can see it above in the message i'll upload it again
I had a sort of no entry road sign.
That looks like an herbaceous paeony.
I think sometimes plants are coddled to produced flowers for sale, then when they get into the real world they take time to settle down. Expect more next year.

oh ok as long as there's nothing wrong with what i'm doing, you don't think it need to be dug up and raised a bit after flowering?
it's been doing my head in today as i totally remember it said 'tree' peony on the label, i know now it isn't a 'tree' peony but it's annoying me as i know it said it,it had like a huge collar label on it when i bought it and have rung where i bought it and they said they have changed supplier this year and don't know what one i was talking about grr, ive found the plant marker in the garden and i've writtin on that 'tree' peony and i copied that from the collar label, i've spent the evening trying to find the company it may have come from with no luck. It is quite obviously a perennial but without the label i can't prove to garden centre that what i'm saying is true.
nut i read tonight about what you said, it said year one roots, year two shoots, year three flowers, so i shall have to have patient
road sign also showing to me now as well.

anyone know what actual peony this is? as you can see from the side pics, it's going from round to almost conical shape.
aym, the very centre petals surrounding the unopened part, about three of them look like someone has drawn on the edge of petals with a cerise pink felt pen just on the very top tip, very random, hope i get lots next year
