I didn't like rag tag and bobtail. Bill and Ben were my favourites. Maybe that's what sparked my interest in gardeningimage

When daughter was tiny and Zebedee said "time for bed". . . it was.

Any oldies remember ' Listen with Mother'?

My daughter loved Spot and  Rosie and Jim.

She refused to watch Sesame Street as she was terrified of what she called 'The Scary Elephant'.

I always thought Pob,that thing with pink stripes, was a bit creepy.

  • Joyce, I remember "Listen with Mother".

"Are you sitting comfortably?  Then I'll begin..."

We didn't have a TV until I was 9, so I missed out on Bill & Ben etc.  Magic Roundabout was quite a cult thing when I was in my teens - and I caught up with Sesame Street, Mr Benn, Pigeon Street etc when my kids were young.  image

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Yup, I remember Listen with Mother. I wonder if anyone actually did Listen/Watch with Mother. Surely the point of these programmes was to give Mother a bit of peace?

I still remember the shock of discovering Andy Pandy was a boy and not a girl. I think the flouncy romper suit confused me.

I once went to a fancy dress party as Andy Pandy. The perfect party outfit! Eat what you like - no squeezing into uncomfortable clothes. I tho l our Cxxxxxxxs dinner will be fancy dress this yearimage
