Wonks it sounds to me as though you need an education in Avon jollop. Skin So Soft insect repellant as used by the Britsih Army, FG's walkers and us.
Panda was bitten through hers at Guide camp but those were extreme conditions and also she reckons she may not have had enough on. (It may even have been a tiny guidelet ).
One light fitting with built in storage space and ventilation!
Been working in the garden folks...see what you think!
The brickdust compost is being redistributed under the apple tree for meadow style planting next year...well it does need cr**py soil! ...sorry if it looks too tidy...its till a work in progress!
Fire pit has really been made a feature of by accentuating its form with a rose thorn/ discarded bamboo cane combo
Rusty BBQ support for ground elder and bind weed has done its job and the plants are now thriving, BBQ has been moved and they now have much more light!
This is simply titled...Been pruning
As you can see this is a natural styled pathway which is demonstrating the latest technique of in situ decomposition, enables the natural rotting process to begin immediately when cut from the plant instead of all that unnecessary wheelbarrow usage taking it to the compost heap ( which is full of brick dust anyhoo ) I believe wheelbarrow miles are as bad as air miles and must be reduced to prevent strenuous exercise!
I am very jealous B3, as PP reports I did get bit through the jollop On the plus side, they don't itch There is nothing worse though than hearing the mozzies.... and we all know that by the time you hear them it is too late... they have bitten you
Haven't been around for a while, too busy doing nothing.... couldn't be bothered to log on.... super slothful
Was just thinking about the 'bed' I started to dig out last year... hit some bricks from the abandoned pond (previous owners couldn't be bothered to remove ANY of it so filled it in... liner and all... I know this coz the liner pokes through my grass ) and left it as it was... kneeler, spade, folk and trowel all in situ The grass is trying to reclaim the area and is winning I would take a picture but can't be @rsed!!
Plantpauper the rhubarb are actually squatt, ignored hollyhocksin not enough light then covered in a layer of brick dust compost! ants are farming aphids on the apple tree despite a thick gloopy band of Vaseline on the trunk, I've given up trying to stop them as I started turning green with all the squishing!....sorry Hazel!

Aloe Vera or witch hazel gel soothes bites, particularly if you haven't scratched them.
I haven't been bitten once since using the jollop and I've been wading through the under and overgrowth at the end of the garden.
OK Clari, this ones for you!

I've got a path just like that. Do you think we're trendsetters?

You have a proper orchard going on there Wonky. I can see rhubarb and three apples!!! All you need is a crumble and custard bush and you're away!
I find it hard to draw my eyes away from that wall. Who would do that?
Nice touch with the carpeted pathway...can't be too careful on the slipping front.
Are you a mass-murderer panda? Who are these folk?
Think we may be B3! Does it show that I dont believe in weedkiller?
Panda I feel your pain ree bites! Gonna have to try your methods foks and see if it helps! Thanks for the tip!

Busy Lizzie has a "pond"
It's one of my favourite surprises on this thread. It made me shout out loud!
And that was before the wildlife went in.
