I love digital photos though, they can make my garden look like one in a magazine though we all know it isn't!
I manoeuvre about till I've got the bit I want in the frame, missing out all the manky bits next to it. Sometimes when I see it enlarged I see something I didn't notice at the time, like a forgotten trug (been there so long it's become invisible) or a grotty leaf or an intrusive weed and I have been known to go back, remove the offending item and take the pic again. It's what they do for magazine shoots anyway and it stops me getting annoyed every time I go through my garden photos. I like to watch a slide show to cheer me up if the weather is bad and in the winter months (at least half the year here, feels like it now) Then I adjust the exposure, the colour, any tilt, and crop if need be, till it looks picture perfect and I can look at it and purr
Buttercup, that was what this thread was originally about! I felt a bit disheartened sometimes looking at the beautiful pictures and realised that I had been doing the same as you and, perhaps,a few others so I thought that maybe one or two other gardeners might have some hidden 'treasure'.
Sharing of the grotty bits has given me the confidence to enjoy the nice bits and ignore the grot - unless of course I want to post a pic!

There's a distinct smell of smoke on this thread. Whose pants are on fire?!?!?!?

Feeling a bit warm in the nether regions pp?
Get yourself outside and sit in the pond for a bit. B3 will just have to make do with a broken bucket.
My nether regions are fine thank you. Plenty of ventilation where I've worn out the seat of my trousers....just sitting.
It's cold, murky and miserable down here. Enough already
where's the b****y summer?
Get the sewing kit out quick and patch it up.
No one wants to see that on a Saturday morning
You don't know that!
I might be selling tickets for all you know.

It gives garden open day a whole new but rather disturbing meaning
Musically accompanied by The Waterboys "Whole of the moon"?
