    Hi all

Always had trouble getting barley out for his walks, sometimes he would go and then not go.We've been trying different things, the best one is to surprise him, but he does resist a bit.But once he's out in the porch he's ok.

I hope I haven't told this story already....I can't remember, but there was a dog shaming thing recently about a dog who cost his owners loads of money in vets' bills by feigning injury so it didn't have to go for a walk!!!

    Found it!

No you didn't tell that story. Barley did have a problem with his elbows, when he was 5 months old he had a bad limp on his right leg, when the vet examined him it was both legs.H e had the cartilage trimmed because it was flapping about. It's a job he was insured. We told the breeder after and she said he could have grown out of it,but how could we when he was limping so bad. He's ok now and I don't think that's anything to do with him not going out.He thinks that he's missing something. He will go out at 7am and at 3pm when I take him out.OH would try and take him at 11am and 4pm,that's when he would play him up,but sometimes he would be ok.The only thing I can think of is I take him a different way and Oh wants to go his own way.

    Thanks image

They're funny wee beings. You wouldn't know what they were thinking.

A friend of mine used to go running and a dog down the road waited for him, ran along behind him, waited outside the paper shop and then ran home with him!!! image Anything for a walk I suppose.

I could tell you a story about the dog who got two buses to it's granny's house right across Belfast but you just would not believe that one!!!!! image

Yes they are but is there a way to get round it?image

I doubt it. He just doesn't want to go. Maybe he is in a little bit of pain or maybe he's lazy. image

    Kitty 2 says:

This is my daughters cat Mrs Norris. Another rescue from irresponsible owners, when my daughter brought her home from a girl at school she was so tiny and weak and covered in fleas I didn't think she would survive. She is now a very healthy, bouncy 2 year old who makes me laugh every day.

(Won't let me add a photo? I'll try a new box)

    See original post

She finally sat still long enough to snap a new photo (wouldn't let me put the first one on weeks ago)

Caught her sitting quietly at the back door looking out at the rain.

Didn't last long, she's now going mental trying her very best to win a fight with a scratching post on the cat tower.

She's a beautiful girl. She looks as if she's just about to take off. image
