Here's Dudley who is a rescue from the RSPCA. He was a stray so no history, no name and no known age. He's been with us 5 weeks and had his first trim today after having to be totally shorn as he had very long matted hair when found. He's quite a character and loves being outside. How helpful he's going to be in the garden I'm not too sure
I bet he loves being clean and shorn instead of matted. Rasta does.
I expect Dudley is going to be a digging sort of helper and will get filthy paws and moustache, like Rasta. Her version of helping in the garden is digging holes and looking for rodents and moles. Bonzo, a nervous Labrador rescue, likes to stay close by which often means lying all over what I've just cleared for planting or else on the plants I've just planted.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
Thanks Obelixx, Tootles and Joyce. He's really settling in after going through it the last few weeks. Found as a stray then into kennels then to foster home then vets for neutering, vaccination and chipping, then to groomers to have all his matted hair off then to us all in a matter of weeks.
You're right about his stance Tootles. We often call him ten-to-two or Chaplin. It's normally more pronounced that in the photo.

Dudley looks lovely. I love the way he's standing with his little feet pointing outwards!
Just catching up on the forum and this little monkey, otherwise known as Mr Sydney, has decided to get in on the act. Keeping my lap lovely and warm.

I'm sure Dudley will be very helpful :-)
They're all lovely,
Bracken's gone down hill suddenly, he wouldn't eat at all this afternoon. Thought we wait to see if the medication to start but it hasn't.
Oh Logan, only just seen your post. Hope you're able to stay strong and make him comfortable.
Sending love and kind thoughts to you all xxx
