Rasta doggy has been rolling in her own personal fox poo mine!  Stinks.  Not allowed indoors till we've both finished jobs and can bath her.

I used to dog sit a collie/Alsatian cross when its owners went on hols.  It had been mistreated in its puppyhood so was nervous and barky but still exhibited double herding and guarding instincts and was soft as anything with people it knew and kids.

    Your two look very content.

They're all lovely, mine never bothered about fox poo.

  • Yeah, both our dogs were rescued, Pepsi is very nervous as she was mistreated when weeks old. She also has great herding skills and brings up all our chickens at night time from the bottom of the garden when it's time for their bed. She also reared two of our cats from weeks old...brilliant mothering instincts.image . Naya is just a big soft lump that secretly thinks she's the Queen of Sheba!

Both ours are rescues.  Rasta has to be clipped every two months as her coat is like a fleece and gets tangly, hence the name.  Bonzo is very nervous with everyone except us but, if he decides he likes a visitor he goes and sits on their knee, all 30 odd kilos of Labrador.   Thinks he's a lap dog because he spent his first 3 years cooped up indoors with a Bichon and a Jack Russell cross.  Never went for walkies.   Training lessons go out the window the minute he feels spooked which is all too often.

Clarice, your picture made me feel all funny! Pepsi looks exactly like my Border Collie cross, Meggie, who we moved to France with in 1985. She lived to be 16 yrs.

Hi all, had bracken's blood test results today, it had gone over 15. Vet has been trying to speak to a oncologist at the referral centre to find out what can be done. Might be able to increase the tablets,or use a drug that is intravenously given. Once a week for 4 week, the vet will be able to do it, Won't find out until Monday.image
