    You're right, not a Cuckoo Pint (I'm on my laptop now rather than my phone). 

    I'd go with eryngium image

    ooh, I just bought an eryngium but it's the silver veined leafed one so very different from this but if it is, then that would make sense.  I remember being very excited that I'd found [whatever it was] and I've wanted eryngium to complement my silver/lilac bed (this has been planted near it).  Off on an excited Google ...
