I wish I could claim to have grown those dahlias from tiny tubers, but they were in bud when I bought them from B&Q! I was so surprised to find plants in such great condition (our local is incredibly unloved and we normally don't buy much, let alone any plants from there) that I took advantage of the 4 for £10 offer! They must've only just arrived.

I did get a blue bayou from Sarah Raven in the the sale and no sign of flowers yet, although it's a fairly decent size (I'll post them here first image).

Hi all, here are my flowers of the day.

    image

Hibiscus syriacus 'Lavender Chiffon'. The blooms looks their best when just opening. Afterwards they become more 'ordinary'.

Heart of Eucryphia x nymansensis nymansay flower

Heart of Rosa 'Noason' 'Celina'. This rose has a long flowering season. I have it in its standard form.

    Penstemon 'Garnet'

    Ligularia stenocephala 'The Rocket'

I have grown Lavatera "Silver Cup" in the cutting bed and in a couple of pots. It's supposed to be 60 - 70cms tall, most are, but one has gone mad, 147cms, 4'10"!

Must have been someone else's hydrangea and stipa. I have one young hydrangea Vanilla Strawberry and no grasses.
