I do squash the odd one and slug eggs but I mostly chuck them in the brown bin ( garden recycle bin ), I dont know if they can get out or not
I been uses wool pellets around my most vulnerable plants which do work very well. I trying organic slugs plants also this year. Normal slug pellets used in GH. I not a fan of salt either, I made beer traps before as well but a lot of messing around.
they do little damage here, I haven't killed all the natural predators.
I love my plants but I love the natural world as well. I don't feel my wishes are more important than that.
That is my opinion. I think it's necessary to differentiate between fact and opinion. Many opinions are offered as fact every day, it can be hard to find a fact when you need one.

I just don't see there being a need in my garden. I've lost a few plants but I do have a lot of them.
I think it might upset some kind of balance and I'm too lazy to interfere with the wildlife tbh.

I've got a little pond that has frogs visit every year.
Haven't seen a hedgies this year.
I use pellets around small delicate newly planted plants.
I pick up live slugs and snails and chuck them up on my garage roof for passing birds.
The pellets I use defiantly kill slugs because I see them all shrivelled up covered in flies.
