Does it matter? Who is she anyway? A B lister? Expect she's on google then.
It's another damp, dull, drismal day here but supposed to get better this afternoon. I hope so as there's loads to do outside and the grass needs a cut when it dries up and the weeds are proliferating in the beds I haven't got to yet.
Chicky - OH's mum had a minor stroke and recovered well so, with care and attention to diet, your dad should be fine. I hope so.
Dove - lovely that your amelanchier's been well soaked in.
Hosta - how big are those polytunnels?
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

No bother at all Dove. Any and all vegetables are perfectly safe here. Except cauli. Luuurve cauli.
What are you saying David K. You reckon Amanda's been 45 for a while now do you???
Chicky watch 'im. He'll be off now after this!!! My mum (80) fell badly and broke her leg some years ago and it suddenly gave her a sense of her own mortality! She hasn't sat down since. She's a holy terror! Really!!!!!
Chicky, hope today is better than yesterday... best wishes to your Dad for a full and speedy recovery.
Nice here at present though they're promising us rain later; must go and plant the last few wild flowers in the bank behind the house. Because we have bird feeders there, the vegetation tends to get worn away in places by the squirrels and pigeons collecting up the dropped food, so I may need to provide protection for some of the new plantings. Wonder if rose prunings would work, artfully placed?
We're hoping for rain in western Scotland soon too. The visitors to our holiday cottage seem unable, on the whole, to grasp that if it hasn't rained for a fortnight they shouldn't have a shower every day (the shower uses rainwater).
Hope you get those runners sown, Dove...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Very windy and cold here, thunder storms to follow.
Need to get a move on planting out Cannas, Dahlias, and Gingers. Ricin far to small to go out, so may not get them in, before I go away. It would be a shame not to have any this year.
Sorry to hear your news Chicky, you have had a hard time recently. Is OH ok. now?
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Chicky so sorry to hear about your dad. You and your sister sound like a good team. Take all the help you offered
sorry about those south. We are enjoying glorious weather. Garden bursting out
soeey no time to read back hope everyone meeding help gets it, everyone needing peace gets it and everyone needing energy to tackle lawns, weeds planting etc get it too
odf to see what the tree surgeons are up to on my road before windmill blades come through sounds more than the bit of pruning they promised!

Morning all,
Sorry to hear about your dad Chicky. He's lucky to have such caring daughters.
No plans for today, the garden beckons after another cuppa.
Lovely sunny day but there's a stiff breeze so I'll check plant stakes, don't want any casualties.
If Amanda Holden's 45 I really am 27.
