Cool and grey but dry. Yesterday was similar but with a colder north wind and we had to go to Jambes on the right bank of the Meuse from Namur as it has a Sunday morning flea market with a backdrop of the river and Namur citadel and Possum needs photos of local Patrimoine for a college project.
We decided to go and have lunch at the Panorama brasserie on the citadel with fabulous views of the Meuse valley towards the Ardennes then home where I climbed into OH's waders and Karcher'd the terrace. It's made from reclaimed bluestone slabs and granite pavers from the old cowsheds so messy to pressure spray.
This pm we'll bring out the garden table and I'll clean that and then carry on potting on and weeding. Quiet day today as it's Belgian Whit Monday.
Hope all gardeners and their pets are doing well.

Delicately put Lantana. I was thinking more along the lines of.....oh dear god my face is falling off!!!
As dogs age they need lower protein content and that's why I put the old girl on it too. They're both thriving and it's been over a year. Photographic evidence can be viewed on the companions thread.
Reggie (a rescue dog himself) was up every two hours last night. No real reason why but most insistent we played ball in the garden at 04:00.
Lantana; his ibs is something that flares up randomly. The vets have tested him for everything they can think of. He's now on a raw food diet which suits him well (normally). We think he got upset because I wasn't around much at the weekend. He is very sensitive to change. Obviously a mummy's boy
So far all is well; we're having a nice gentle day digging random holes in the garden!
I may have just changed my design layout for the garden again. The greenhouses are going to be hidden out of view from the lounge window by tucking them up to his lordships garage. It should ( I hope) create a better more open appearance.
Back from my jogging club run, bit tricky this morning as the mother of one of my group committed suicide last week and she was obviously still upset and also very stressed and was suffering from a stiff neck that made it difficult to run. I thought she was very brave to even come and join us so I jogged and walked along slowly with her and encouraged her. She said she felt better for getting out and trying to carry on as normal. Very sad, but she did say that as her mum suffered very badly from depression and had tried before it was perhaps a blessing for her, put her out of her misery, hopefully looking down from heaven with her husband.
Gardening now for the rest of the day, determined to get my poor sweet peas planted out in the ground, they are in pots and must be incredibly pot bound. Going to plant some runner beans next to them so that at least after they finish flowering something else will still be there. I have had no real success with sweet peas here, I think it is too hot for them, but I love them so much I keep trying.
Leeks and tomatoes to get in the ground too, I've found some fancy covers for the tomatoes for outside growing so am going to experiment with them.
Have a good day all, catch up later.

Hello all, gave up trying to get onto the site this morning so I've been in the veggie garden planting tomatoes and sweet peppers. Now must do my tax return, hate it.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Hooray, lawns cut.
Now for the edges, then I can do something more enjoyable.

Oh my lord DD your poor runner! It is so sad to think of someone so troubled that taking their own life is to them their only way our.
Started to clear an overgrown patch but it is so full of frogs I've been forced to retreat.
Here's a hint for how overgrown the patch was... I've never seen this flower before! No idea what it is but it was completely lost in there . Oops.
Looks like a Spanish bluebell to me Clari.
Afternoon everyone!

Still having problems.
