I haven't see anything from Joyce. Does anyone know how her Hubby Is?
my HRH has improved today, and on advice from the Vet's receptionist, got her a fresh chicken neck to chew on. I've never seen her so enthusiastic for food. She spent hours going back to where she left it and gnawing away at it. Hopefully, this might help with her dental problem. Nearly finished the antibiotics. Hope your dog is recovering, Clari. They are such a worry.
I missed this site this morning while I was having my coffee. I've just had my first notification since the forum changes.
Glad that HRH is feeling better Pat. Hope that Clari's Reggie gets better soon too. I expect Joyce is at the hospital.
DD that is such a sad tale. It must be hard to come to terms with but your friend is doing the right thing by just carrying on doing normal things.
I've had another trip to. GC and bought a white foxglove and a white lupin. Heaven knows where I am going to plant the myriad of pots lined up on the patio.
I have to pass the garden centre on the way to the tip. Three trailor loads to do my grass and my resolve has never got me past the second one! Today it was Lavatera x4 yes FOUR!!!
Oooh er missus - I just had an email notification to say Pat had posted on Forkers - first notification of forum postings since The Change. Hope it's the start of further improvements!
Glad to hear HRH is feeling better Pat - my cat had a terrible problem with his teeth last year - one became infected but was fused to the jaw bone so they couldn't extract it and had to grind it down instead. All came to a head on 23rd Dec 2014 so it was all emergency pre-Xmas surgery with limited lab support etc etc. Finished up with an ear infection as a result of the work on his mouth which caused damage to the optic nerve and suffice to say he was a very very poorly cat for several months.
Fortunately he lets me muck him about in all sorts of ways - so no problems at all giving copious amounts of medication etc and mucho expenso later he made a full recovery. It was such a relief when he regained an interest in food.
I love him to bits - but with all that love comes shed loads of worry. Hope both HRH & Clari's Reggie are feeling better soon
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Pets are a worry especially as they can't tell us what's wrong and dogs are very stoic as in the wild they couldn't show any weekness or they'd lose their place in the pack.
I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather. Everything seems to be growing like crazy including the weeds.
I was spreading some compost on the garden this morning when I disturbed a grass snake in the compost heap. I quite like to see snakes, including adders, but I didn't expect to see one there even though they lay their eggs in compost heaps so it made me jump.
I loved the horses on the Queen's Birthday celebration absolutely amazing. I enjoyed the acts too but it's a pity they went backwards and forwards between the horses and the singers. Shirley Bassey looked lovely and she hasn't lost her voice at all.

Good afternoon all,
